2. Tooth Preparation: If a crown is deemed the right choice, we’ll carefully prepare the affected tooth by removing decay and reshaping it to fit the crown. However, this step is crucial for ensuring a secure fit.
3. Impressions: Once we prepare the tooth, we take precise impressions (molds) of your mouth. Next, we send these impressions to our trusted dental lab, where they craft your custom crown to match your natural teeth perfectly.
4. Temporary Crown: While your permanent crown is being made, we can place a temporary crown to protect your tooth and maintain your smile.
5. Crown Placement: Lastly, after a week or two, when your custom crown is ready, you’ll return to Oak Point Dental. We’ll remove the temporary crown and carefully fit the permanent one, making any necessary adjustments for comfort and aesthetics before securing it in place.
